welcoming entry

"In appreciation for your outstanding service, superior quality, and conscientious attention to detail in our building project.  It was a pleasure working with you."

Church citation presented at the dedication

Some buildings say, "Come in!".  Others say, "Members only."

Welcoming people may be one of your ministries.  If so, you probably have greeters, a good system to contact visitors, and a warm, friendly congregation.  And your building, too, can help you welcome people.  The front door can be much more than a mere entrance.  It can actually be a tool for accomplishing your ministry of welcome.

  • Your entry can help you show a friendly, open face to both regulars and newcomers.  It can be a beacon, beautifully landscaped, drawing people in as they approach.

  • The entry can put newcomers at ease by offering a preview of the interior through doors or windows.

  • It can shelter people from the elements, making them feel comfortable and secure.

  • The entry can be the hub of  the building, convenient to the sanctuary, offices, and nursery.

  • And the entry can welcome all people by being fully accessible.

If your building is designed to say, "Come on in!", people will.

Do you agree with these principles?  Call us!  We design buildings for churches.
