In 26 Henry VIII (1534-5) he was seised of a house with a garden and two acres of arable land called “ Currants” in Sawbridgeworth.
He m. not later than 26 Henry VIII (1534-5) Margaret-,
whose maiden name was perhaps Payne or Mathewe. She survived her husband and m. (2) abt. 1547 Thomas Westwood, who in 1550 was of “Maudlyn” (probably Magdalen Laver), co. Essex. She was dead in 1549/50, Thomas Westwood, her son by her second husband, being then abt. three years of age. [1]
