MEYER Pecatonica, April 9 - Mrs. Hilda C. Meyer, 76, former Rockford resident, died at 4 p.m. Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nate Colby, here. Mrs. Meyer was born in Sweden Sept. 20, 1858. Surviving are three children. Mrs. Gertrude Hance of Rock Island, Mrs. Nate Colby of Pecatonica, and Evans Meyer of Pecatonica. Her husband, Thomas, died in 1897. One daughter, Mrs. Frank Burbank, died in 1916, and another daughter, Elsie, died in infancy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Colby residence and at 2 p.m. from the First Lutheran Church here, where she was confirmed. The Rav. J. A. Berghult, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in Pecatonica cemetery.
