    Mary "Oletha" (Johnston) Seyfert, 96, rural Attica, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 1998 at her residence. She had been in failing health for several years. Born in Oakwood, Ill., Dec. 11, 1901, she was the daughter of John and Stella Oakwood Johnston. She married Albert Seyfert in 1921.
    She was the last grandchild of the founder of the town of Oakwood. She graduated from Oakwood High School. She lived in Oakwood until she moved to Danville in 1957. She moved to rural Attica in Warren County in 1986. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Osborne Prairie Church in Stone Bluff and was a past member of the O.E.S. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, ceramics and music, playing the piano, immensely. She loved and enjoyed her family very much.
    Survivors include daughters Reita (William) Burroughs, Attica, Eleanor Bussey, Danville, Ill.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Lakeside Funeral Home, Oakwood, with the Rev. Jeff Newton officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery." - Fountain County Neighbor, April 28, 1998
