    Griffin Services Today in Electra
    Electra, Tex. (Special – Services for James Edward Griffin, 70, will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church here. He died Sunday after an illness of several years.
    Officiating for final rites will be pastor of the church, Rev. S.M. Malone. Burial will be in the new Electra Cemetery under the direction of James B. Totten & Son Funeral Home. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Electra Oddfellows lodge of which Griffin was a member. Oddfellows will be pallbearers.
    Born Jan. 25, 1891, in Dallas county, Griffin had lived in Electra for abut 50 years. He was a retired oil rig builder. He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary may 27, 1961.
    Others surviving are one son, Jack Griffin of Hurst, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Rogers of Wichita Falls, Mrs. George Powell of Levelland, Tex.; four grandchildren, one of whom the couple reared from childhood, Jimmy Lee Brannum of Odessa, and six great-grandchildren.
