NILES BABY HURT FATTALLY IN FALL FROM DINING ROOM CHAIR
A two-year-old Niles boy is dead today following a fall from a dining room chair at his home Thursday afternoon

Victim of the home tragedy is Rex Allen Houghtelling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Houghtelling, rural route one, Barron Lake.
The child fell from a dining room chair at his home about 12:30 p.m. yesterday, and suffering from convulsions was rushed to Pawating hospital where he died several minutes after admittance to the emergency room.
Exact Cause Undetermined
Coroner William Pifer said that the child apparently died of injuries suffered in the fall. Exact cause of death was undetermined.
The child is survived by his parents and an infant brother, John. Other survivors are his grandmother, Mrs. Millie Houghtelling; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Horner, great-grandmother, Mrs. Emma Fitzgerald, all of Niles; and great-grandfather, William Price, of Buchanan.
The youth was born here August 21, 1946.
Funeral Set for Saturday
Funeral services will be held at the Pifer funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. T. M. Greenhoe, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Niles, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. (The Niles Daily Star, p. 1
