      William Richard "Bill" LaCosse, Jr., age 70, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Rush Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He was born in Rensselaer on November 19, 1946 to William LaCosse Sr. and Violet (Snow) LaCosse. Bill was raised in the Fair Oaks area, attending Fair Oaks High School. He was employed in Production and Quality Control with U.S. Steel, Gary Works for 34 years. On May 28, 1964, in Fair Oaks, Indiana, Bill married Walker Sue Drake. Walker passed away on May 5, 2010.
      Bill is survived by his loving family, daughters, Lorrie LaCosse, Kimmie (Jimmy) Armstrong and Karrie (Matt) Rud all of Rensselaer; girlfriend Pamela Gadsberry of Rensselaer; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and siblings, Larry (Sue) LaCosse and Vicki (Alan) Robinson, both of Fair Oaks, Indiana.
      He was preceded in death by his parents William and Violet; his wife, Walker; his sister, Julie Martin; and one grandchild.
      Friends may visit with the family at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Friday, January 13, 2017 beginning at 11 a.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m. with Jim Michal officiating. Burial will follow at Fair Oaks Cemetery.
