    • Linda Lou Campbell, age 73, of Rensselaer, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 at her home near Gifford. Linda was born in Rensselaer, Indiana, October 7, 1937, the daughter of the late Vaughn and Irene (Gifford) Green. On July 28, 1956, in Gifford, Linda married Forrest E. Campbell, who survives.
      Linda attended the Wheatfield Schools, St. Joseph College and Purdue University. She was retired from the Rensselaer School Corporation where she had been a teacher for 23 years. Linda was a member of the Gifford Church of God. Among her joys were reading good books, playing bridge, watching movies, being among children, traveling and social activities.
      Linda is survived by her husband, Forrest; three children, Melanie (Klayton), Susan (Jim) and Mark (Stacey); grandchildren, Rhiannon, Caylyn, Cameron, Ali, Halston and McClain; great grandchildren, Makennah, Makayh, Makoi; brother, Gary (Bev), sister, Emily (Charles).
      A memorial service for Linda will be held at a later date.
