- Death of Mrs. Peckham
Mrs. William Peckham died last evening at 6:00 o'clock at the home of her sister (brother), Mrs. (Mr.) George Ellis, three miles south of Centerville. Mr. and Mrs. Peckham, we understand, formerly resided near Exline but had been in the West and only recently returned. Funeral services were held at 11:30 o'clock today and the remains were taken to the Haines cemetery north of the city, for burial.

Sister of George Ellis Passes Away and Funeral Thursday
The death of Mrs. Wm. Peckham occurred Wednesday evening at the home of her brother, George Ellis, south of town. She was born Sept. 10, 1839, her maiden name being Amanda Ellis. She was born in Harrison Co., Ind. She was married to Lewis Miller Jan. 10, 1856, and after his death was married to Wm. Peckham, Sept. 3 (Aug. 27), 1894. She was the mother of eight children, two of whom are living, Mrs. Bever, of Oklahoma, and Elliott Miller of Jamestown, Kan. Both of them were present for the funeral. She was a member of the Baptist church since 17 years old. The funeral was at the Ellis home and burial was north of Dennis.
