- Larry O. McBride
Larry O. McBride, 84, of Centralia died Thursday, Dec. 13, 1984, at Monroe Manor in Paris, Mo., where he had resided three weeks.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Meador and Son Chapel in Centralia with the Rev. Glenn Mitchell of Parkview Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in City of Centralia Cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today until time for services at Meador's, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening.
Mr. McBride, a retired farmer, was born Sept. 2, 1900, in Linton, Ind., to John Franklin and Sudie Gertha Howell McBride. He married Gladys Gritton Feb. 11, 1927, and she survives at the home. Mr. McBride worked on the A.S.C. committee and Farm and Home Administration and served on the FHA advisory board for many years. A member of Tulip Christian Church, he served on the church board. He was also a member of the Fox Hunters Association and received many trophies.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Bobby Dale McBride of Centralia; two brothers, Frank McBride of Madison and Freddie McBride of Centralia; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Tom (Audra) Young of Hallsville and Mrs. Frank (Thelma) Luttrell of Centralia; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roscoe McBride.
The family suggests memorials to the Tulip Christian Church.
