    • Claude S. Gritton HARRODSBURG Claude S. Gritton, 82, of Lawrence-burg died Monday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
      Born Nov. 10, 1910, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Lige Davis and Etta Shy Gritton.
      He was a retired 26-year Army warrant officer and a member of Lawrence-burg Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
      He was the widower of Elizabeth Ann Davenport Gritton. '
      Survivors include a stepdaughter, Iris June Ellecamp of Crofton, Mo.; a sister, Juanita Healey of Mercer County; and four step-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, by the Rev. Elgin Emmons. Burial with military rites will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
