Notes - Helen M. Taylor, 74, of Danville died at 12:10 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 13, 2006) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Danville.
Mrs. Taylor was born May 29, 1932, in Danville, a daughter of Martin Luther and Mattie May Watson Cline. She married Charles Taylor on Dec. 4, 1965 in Danville. He survives.
Survivors also include a son, Steve Talbert of Danville; a daughter, Cheryl Buck of Danville; a stepson, Jed Taylor of Danville; two stepdaughters, LuAnn Kinney of Fairmount and Kathy Stitt of Danville; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a sister, Charity Reeves of Danville.
She was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren, five brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Taylor was a longtime florist in Danville, first working at Danville Floral and later at Wright Floral, which she purchased, renaming it Taylor Floral. She owned and operated the business until her retirement in 2001.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and taught Sunday school at Western Baptist Church.
She enjoyed cooking and working in her yard, Christmas, the Chicago Cubs and the Illini.
