    • Died very suddenly.
M.L.Gritton suffered a stroke of paralysis Tuesday.
Marion L. Gritton, one of South Danville's oldest and most respected residents, died yesterday morning at 5;15 o'clock, after a very short illness. Monday Mr. Gritton suffered a slight attack of paralysis. He had been serving on the petit jury in the circuit court and had been feeling as well as usual up to that time. Tuesday morning at 9 0'clock he suffered another and more severe stroke, which cause his entire right side to become completely paralyzed and deprived him of the power of speech. From that time till death yesterday morning he grew steadily worse.

Marion L. Gritton was born in Mercer County, Ky., and if he had lived till the 25th of this month would have been 65 years old. He came to Vermilion county with his parents when a small child and has resided here ever since, making his home in South Danville for the past twelve years. He is survived by a wife and three sons. Frank Gritton, an employe in the government print office at Washington, D.C., Ed Gritton, the well known pressman, formerly an employe of The Press who resides at home, and Allan Gritton, a motorman in the employ of the street car company. He also leaves one brother, John Gritton, who conducts the South Walnut street feed stables.

Mr. Gritton was of a quiet, unostentatious nature. He made many friends and was very highly regarded by his neighbors in South Danville and many acquaintances in this city. The many friends of the family will join in extending condolences to the stricken widow and children.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the home, Rev. Cosat officiating and interment at Springhill cemetery.
