    Bobby Harrison Ponder, age 82, husband of Lois (Browning) Ponder of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at his residence. He was the father of Lori Brown and husband Anthony, Stephanie Adams and husband Jeff, and Larry Wayne Ponder all of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Jackie Ponder and wife Gayle of New Carlisle, Ohio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Ponder and Nell (Spivey) Ponder, by his siblings, Peggy Hagerman, Connie Vance, Larry David Ponder, and by one granddaughter, Crystal Brown. He was a truck driver and of the Holiness Faith. Funeral Services for Bobby Harrison Ponder will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, April 26, 2018 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Lady, Jonathan Gregory, Kenny Shannon, and Gerald Poff officiating. Burial will follow at Old Casteel Cemetery. The family of Bobby Harrison Ponder will receive friends after 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at London Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to London Funeral Home toward funeral expense. Serving as pallbearers; LeRoy Mills, Howard Pace, Anthony Brown, Jeff Adams, Josh Adams, Jason Browning, Terry Browning, Larry Tabor, Peyton Tabor, and Jeremy Holland.

    Mrs. Clista Spivey, 85, of Livingston died April 27 at her home. A native of Rockcastle County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and and Sarah Durham McHaffey.

    She was a member of the Holiness church.

    Mrs. Spivey was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Spivey.

    She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Terry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Rebecca Waddle of Frankfort, Mrs. Sally Travillian and Mrs. Tesallen Carpenter, both of Livingston, Mrs. Nevarrene Robinson of Lynn, Three sons, Bentley and Elmer Spivey, both of Livingston, Casper Spivey of Lamero, 40 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, and one brother, James McHaffey.

    Funeral services were conducted Saturday April 29, at Morning View Holiness Church with Bros. Rolla Cornelius, George Murphy, and John Durham officiating. Burial was in Bales Cemetery.

    Sparks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
