    Mrs. Vida Thompson, age 89, departed this life Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Laurel Creek Health Care. She was born May 28, 1926 to Robert and Amanda (Wilson) Murray. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Burning Springs Church of God.

    She is survived by her children: Billy Wayne Thompson and wife Annie and David Lee Thompson and wife Daisy. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren: William Denver Allen Thompson and wife Tami and Vincent Thompson; 1 sister: Bobbie Colwell of Scottsburg, IN; a special friend: Aretta Smith.

    She is preceded in death by her husband: Lloyd Thompson; her parents Robert and Amanda Murray; her children: Vanda and Wanda Thompson and these brothers and sisters: John Arthur Murray, Samuel Murray, Dallas Murray, Hobart Murray, William Murray, Elva Buttry, Maxie Rice, Mary Rice, Zola Fields, and Georgia Deaton.

    Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bennie Fields and Rev. Bobby Couch officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery in Burning Springs Community.

    Visitation will be after 6:00 P. M. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
