Notes - Ethel Mamie Phipps, 93, of Laurel, Md., died Monday, April 19, 2004, at Howard County General Hospital.
She was born Dec. 28, 1910, in Virginia, to Noah R. and Martha E. Looper/Luper Phipps. She was the widow of Kyle Charles Phipps.
Survivors include a brother, Sam Bagwell of Florida; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
A funeral was held Thursday at Donaldson Funeral Home, Laurel, Md., with the Rev. Stephanie Vader officiating. Burial will be held in the Felts Memorial Cemetery, Galax, Saturday at 11 a.m.
