He was a self-employed mechanic for over 70 years. He was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church and was an avid race car driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Benton, Gerald and Charlie Wilmot; his sisters, Versa Whitt, Marie Lunsford and Reva Hollenbaugh; his step-sons, Edgar Baker Jr. and Gerald Hensley. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ruth Wilmot; his brothers, Jim Cornett of Shoals, IN and Frank Wilmot of Eaton, OH; his sisters, Annabelle Adams of Wilmington, OH, Ruby Rieger of Germantown, OH, Donna Roby of Sebastian, FL and Martha Gabbard of Eaton, OH; his son, Grant Wilmot Jr.; his step-sons, Ron (Holly) Baker and Wayne (Kathy) Hensley; his grandchildren, Brad Hensley, Jill Hensley, Austin Wilmot, Chad Hensley, Vicky Neece, Annette Hensley, Kayla Hensley and Kara Hensley and 9 Great-Grandchildren. Arrangements: Visitation will be on Tues., 8/24 from 4-6:00 pm at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. James Anderson officiating.
