Notes - Clifton E. French, of Burien, Wash., died Nov. 28, 1996, at Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. He was born April 30, 1922, in Combs, the son of Bert and Cleo Mahaffey French. He served in the Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He retired from his position at Russ Winter Chevron in South Park, where he worked for 22 years. Before then, he was employed by the Boeing Co. for several years, both in Moses Lake and Renton, Wash.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mildred French; his sons, Greg and Randy French; his daughters, Lesa Rae, Laurie, Tammy and Toni; a brother, William Lane of St. Joseph, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Eugene Weimerskirch of Coulee City, Wash.; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in Missouri and Washington.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Rivercrest Cemetery under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Pastor Tom Colby of Westwood Christian Assembly officiated the service.
