    • William C. (Bill) Smith
      Richmond – William Carter (Bill) Smith, 55, of 118 Orchard Street, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Pope Hospital after a long illness. A native of Harlan County, he was a truck driver.
      Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Madden Smith; his mother, Mrs. Mary Osborne Smith, Richmond Route 2; a son, Kenneth Smith, Richmond; a daughter, Miss Peggy Ann Smith, Richmond; two brothers, Roy F. and Woodrow W. Smith, Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. R.J. Stubblefield and Mrs. Sam Rayburn, Richmond; four nieces and three nephews.
      Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home by the Rev. M.L. Hahn and the Rev. A.C. Duncan. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
      Lexington Herald-Leader, Lexington, Kentucky. Wednesday, 11 November 1964.
