Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Simpson of Monticello announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Lytha Ann Simpson, to Mr. Clyde Underwood of Louisville, son of Mrs. John R. Chasteen of Lexington. Their marriage will take place tomorrow in Louisville. Miss Simpson is a graduate of the Kentucky School for the Blind and the Louisville Girls’ High School.

- Lytha Ann Simpson Underwood was born February 25th, 1929 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late James William and Elnora Robinson Simpson and passed away Sunday, January 7th, 2018 at the Wayne County Hospital reaching the age of eighty-eight-years.
On May 9th, 1952 she united in marriage with Robert Clyde Underwood, Sr., whom passed away October 12th, 1996 and to this union she is survived by her daughters; April and her husband Canie West, Dawn and her husband Jason Allison, her sons; Bro. Robert Jr. and his wife Mary Underwood and James Michael Underwood-Jones and Tracy Jones along with her six grandchildren; Beth, Jon Marc, Brian, Tyler, Jacob and MaKenna, her three great-grandchildren; Parker, Bella and Lola and her two nephews; Stuart and Jim Simpson. She is preceded in death by her daughter; Melody Ann Underwood and her siblings; Margaret Simpson and William Simpson.
Lytha was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church.
