Cena was the wife of Francis K. Doze (1826-1863). She was the daughter of James Phipps and Tamar Ann (Doane) Rosengrant Phipps. She was the mother of six children including: Joseph, John F.R., Elora May "Lara" (Doze) Pryor Doze and Iowa Violet (Doze) Sargeant.
Note: Cena's mother is currently listed as "Grandma Phipps" on Findagrave. Her mother died in 1871 in Decatur County, Iowa.
Her daughter, Elora May "Lara" Doze married her first cousin, Isaac Doze. They are most likely buried in Alberta, Canada where they were living in 1916.

Mrs. Cena Doze died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.W. Sargent, Minneapolis, Minn., January 15, of apoplexy and old age. Friday she was laid to rest in the cemetery at New Sharon, Iowa. Deceased is the mother of our townsman, J.F. Doze.
