Notes - Crowder, Stella Strong McDaniel, age 89, of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, August 7,2005, at the Ft Hamilton Hospital. Born in Hamilton on July 26, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Green & Emily (Morris) Strong. In 1934, Stella married Vernon McDaniel & he preceded her in death on April 23, 1980. To this union was born Ronald L McDaniel & he preceded her in death on January 12, 1983. On June 16, 1995, Stella married Wilbur “Bill” Crowder & he preceded in death on September 30, 2000. She was employed with Ohio Casualty Insurance for nineteen years as a file clerk.
Stella is survived by her two grandchildren, Robin (Larry) Paxton & Christy Cobb; three great grandchildren, Daniel (Kelly) Cobb, Nikki Azbill, & Chris Honeycutt; & two great great grandchildren, Taylor & Katelyn Azbill; Stella was also preceded in death by two sisters, Fannie Strong & Margaret Sparks; & two brothers, Kay & Roy Strong.
Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Hamilton, at 2 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2005, with Rev Jacob S Flannery officiating. Interment will follow at Darrtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 noon - 2 pm at the funeral home.
