Notes - Hensley
Markleville resident Boyd R. Hensley, 79, died Thursday evening, Oct. 13, 1983, at St. John’s Medical Center after an extended illness.
A resident of the area for most of his life, he retired in 1971 from M.M. Goff and Sons Farms of Pendleton. He was a member of the First Church of God in Pendleton.
Surviving are: his wife, Nora; two sons, Luther Hensley of Lapel and Kenneth Hensley of Pendleton; five daughters, Naomi Manlove of Markleville, Betty Knotts, of Pendleton, Patricia Kern of Pendleton, Becky Rehmel of Lapel and Marsha Jones of Anderson; two brothers, two sisters 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 17, at Wilson St. Pierre Bright Chapel with the Rev. Francis Gough officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
