- Mrs. Bernice M. Cornett, age 90 of Burning Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. She was born February 27th, 1918 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of James D. Murray & Margaret Shelton Murray. She was a retired school teacher & a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.
She is survived by the following children: Claudia Gail White & her husband Daugh K. of Manchester, Norman Cornett & his wife Nancy Manning of Burning Springs, Reuben Daniel “Danny” Cornett of Burning Springs, & Oliver Landis “Scrappy” Cornett & his wife Lona of Burning Springs. Also surviving are the following grandchildren: Pam Ryser & her husband Bo of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Karen Grubb & her husband Butch of Burning Springs, Kennon White & his wife Wanda of London, Joe White & his wife Beth of Manchester, Laurel Nolan & her husband Scott of Richmond, Kentucky, Susanna Cornett of Alabama, Norman Alan Cornett & his wife Traci of Alabama, Oliver Landis Cornett III “Beau” & his wife Rebecca of Billings, Montana, & Ryan Daniel Cornett & his wife BreAnne of London. Also surviving are 16 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren as well as one brother: Denver Murray & his wife Joan, & one sister: Marjorie Mullins of London.
She is preceded in death by her parents: James D. & Margaret Murray & her husband: Oliver Landis Cornett.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bernice M. Cornett will be held on Saturday, April 19th, 2008 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Alan Cornett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.
