      Mr. William Ponder, age 91 of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky passed away on Sunday October 13, 2019 at his residence in Mt. Vernon. He was born on October 4, 1928 in Burr, Kentucky, a son of the late Henry and Allie B. Mullins Ponder. He was a retired cabinet maker and carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking and repairing furniture. He was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God.

      Survivors are: Two sisters: Kathlene (Charles) Yencer, of Richmond, Indiana and Glenna Cacus Marker of New Port Richey, Florida. Six Nieces: Jackie Bullock, Patricia Wolfe, Lisa Shehan, Angela Sandberg, Denise Whalen and Janice Chadwell also survive.

      Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Eva Shannon and husband Charles, a brother Bennett Ponder, two nephews and one niece.

      Graveside services for Mr. William Ponder will be conducted on Wednesday October 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Bro. Tim Hampton officiating. [4, 5]
