    Mr. Turner was born in Turner Bend, Ark. He had lived and farmed in the Salinas Valley since 1955. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Franklin County in Ozark, Ark.

    Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Daisy Turner of Salinas; four daughters, Willie Fugate, Alice Turner and June May of Salinas, and May Burke of Mt. Pine, Ark; two sons, Ralph Turner of Grass Valley, and Donald Ray Turner of De Ridder, La.; 14 brothers and sisters (identities not provided by family); 33 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

    Private family services were held Monday at the Struve & Laporte Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Turner Bend, Ark.

    She is survived by three daughters, Nina Hicks of Fort Smith, Lorene Teague and Lena Cook, both of Charleston; a son, David Dickerson of Vilonia; two sisters, Jet Word of Camden and Velma Gravitt of Calhoun, Ga.; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

    Pallbearers will be Donald and Jerry Cook, Allen Teague, Stephen and Darren Griffin and Daniel Waggoner.

    The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

    Betty Ann Lepley, 84, formerly of Ozark, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2019, in Frisco, Texas. She was born in Cass, Arkansas, on September 19, 1935 to Samuel and Lucy White Turner. As a young child, Betty moved with her family from Cass to Hammond, Indiana. She attended Hammond High School where she was a member of National Jr. Honor Society, the girls athletic club, and the school band. She graduated in 1953, and married William Cunningham on September 19th of the same year. They went on to have 2 children, Allen, and Laura. In 1971, Betty and her family moved to Alma, Arkansas. After the death of her husband William, she would later marry Donald Lepley Sr, and move to Oklahoma City. Donald and Betty eventually settled in Ozark in 1985, where Betty served the coffee boys and all of Ozark, at the Ozark Restaurant. She was a faithful member of the Webb City Baptist Church and enjoyed her trips with her lady’s Sunday school class. Betty is known best for her column in the Spectator for “Betty’s Briefs”. When she wasn’t writing for the local community she busied herself crocheting, working crossword puzzles, and collecting Betty Boop memorabilia.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Lucy Turner, first husband, Bill Cunningham, and late husband, Donald Lepley; brother, Larry Turner; son, Allen Cunningham; step-son Don Lepley Jr; step-daughter, Debbie Goins; and grandsons Brian Howe, and Austin Goins. Nina was also preceded in death by special friend, Harold Steele and is survived by Liz Beckman whom Nina considered her fifth daughter.

    Services were Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Spradling Baptist Church under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel with interment at the National Cemetery.

    Pallbearers will be grandsons, Seth Haynes, Caleb Hobday, Josh Holloway, Keith McDaniel, Matthew Sallee and Mitchell Sallee. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons at Spradling Baptist Church.     Bobby was a member Warner Spur Assembly of God Church in Harmony Grove. He enjoyed working for Arlis Justice with Justice Farms hauling cattle for more than 35 years. He also worked at ARC before retiring. He loved driving his big truck, being on his tractor, front porch sitting, story telling, and domino playing.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Jett Word and James Sanford “Jim” Word; and a brother, Jerry Wayne Word.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann Stewart-Word; two sons, Robert Word (Joy) of Camden, AR and Jeff Word (Julie) of DeKalb, TX; his five grandchildren: Beth Thomason (Matthew) of Camden, AR, Dillon Word (Christa)
    Camden, AR, Jessica Word (fiancé Mark Moseley) of Smackover, AR, Cole Word (Amber) of Fordyce, AR, and Garrett Word US Navy; his great grandchildren; Hannah Garcia, Braylon Williams, Mason Thomason, Ella Kate Word, Emma Moseley, Peyton Word, Jaxson Word, and Braxton Word; two brothers, Jimmy Word (Jean) and Bill Word (Emilene) both of Camden, AR; a brother-in-law, Bobby Stewart (Peggy) of Oklahoma City, OK; and a sister-in-law, Gail Stewart of Camden, AR.

    A family led memorial service will be held at Robert and Joy’s, 158 Ouachita 78 Camden, AR.

    The family would like to thank OCMC Hospice and Dr. Braden.

    He is survived by his wife Kathy of the home, 2 daughters; Susan Garrett of Van Buren, Jessica Tucker of Fort Smith, 4 sons; Richard Rivera and his wife Amanda of Fort Smith, AR, Quinton Cunningham of Roland, OK, Billy Cunningham of San Diego, CA, Marshall Adams of Fort Smith, his mother Betty Lepley of Ozark, AR, a sister Laura George and her husband Frank of McKinney, TX, 4 grandchildren; Shianne, Austin, Zane, and Hayden, and 3 nieces; Leah Burgett of Shallow Water, TX, Casey Woody of Oklahoma City, OK, and Tiffany Boone of McKinney, TX.

    Honorary pallbearers will be members of his racing family; "H", Ron, Tim, J-Bird, Joe, Bubba, Rick, and Chris.
