West Liberty, Ky. - Mrs. Golden Wheeler, widow of Monroe Wheeler, Grassy Creek, has sold between 1,100 and 1,200 acres of land to a Morgan County man and his brother, a resident of California.
Bob Bailey, West Liberty Route 1, and his brother, William E. Bailey, San Jose, Calif., bought the tract near Index on the east, extending to Grassy Creek on the west. the property will be developed into a shooting preserve

Frankfort – Golden Moore Stamper Wheeler, 73, of 216 W. Second St., former owner of Wheeler’s General Store in Grassy Creek, died Tuesday. The body was removed from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home to Potter Funeral Home in West Liberty where visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today. Services 10 a.m. Friday at the Ezel Presbyterian Church with burial in Ezel Cemetery, Morgan County.
