    • Prominent Louisa County Man Dies
Columbus Junction, Ia., Oct. 7 – August Wehmeyer, an old and respected citizen of Louisa county, died very suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Hank, near Columbus Junction Monday morning at 3:30 o’clock. He had been in usual health and was visiting at the home of another daughter on Sunday. The family only knew of his illness 15 minutes before his death and before the doctor or the nearest neighbors could get to the house he breathed his last. He was born in Prussia in 1826 and had lived in this county many years and had acquired a large amount of property. He leaves an aged wife, who had been blind for some years, and 11 children to mourn his demise.
