    Funeral Thursday for Mrs. Stella L. Hopkins
    Mrs. Stella L. Hopkins, 73, of 1105 North Rutherford, did at 5;15 a.m. today at the Samaritan Hospital following nine months illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. James Episcopal Church, conducted by the rector, the Rev. Alfred R. Malone.
    Burial will be at Mexico, Mo., by the side of her husband James R. Hopkins, who preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1950.
    Mrs. Hopkins was born in New Cambria, Mo., Jan. 18, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Moore. She lived in Macon since Dec. 1, 1948. She was a member of the Victoria Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, of Jefferson City, and of St. James Episcopal Church here.
    She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ida Moore Earl, a grandson, John Robert Earl, both of Macon; and one brother, L.F. Moore of Laclede.
    The body will lie in state at the Stephens and Goodding Funeral Home until the hour of services.
