Cassity 23 Oct 1907 who died 1910 in Colorado Springs. Went to Montana for his health. 25 Oct 1915 married Clara Alice Elery at Barker, Mont. Went back to Colo Springs where he died. Burial at Ekalaka, Mont.

    John Luther Pearson, a well known homesteader who came to Montana three years ago last fall and located near Chaussee, Mont., passed away at Colorado Springs on June 6th, 1917, at the age of 30 years, 2 months and 5 days. Last March deceased went to Colorado in hopes of benefiting his health. The remains were shipped to Ismay Tuesday of this week and the funeral services held in Ekalaka Wednesday, burial being made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
    Mr. Pearson was born at Browning, Missouri, on April 1, 1887, and lived in that state until he came to Montana. On October 25, 1915, he was married to Clara Elery, to which union one child was born, which passed away in infancy. He leaves to mourn his early departure from this life a father, H.C. Pearson, of Browning, Mo., four sisters, Mrs. O.B. Tulley of Cairo, Neb.; Mrs. S.O. Stuart of Chausse, Mont.; Mrs. F.B. Green and Mrs. M.E. Standlee of Danebrog, Neb., and one brother, Earnest Pearson of Chausse.

    John Luther Pearson was born April 1, 1998 in Linn Co., Missouri, near Browning where he grew to manhood. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Pearson. He was married to Miss Orpha J. Cassity on Oct. 23, 1907. His wife dying in 1910 in Colorado Spring, Colo. after which he went to Montana for his health. On Monday, Oct. 24, 1915, he was married to Miss Clara Alice Elery at Barker, Mont. Last March he and wife located in Colorado Spring where remained until death, which occurred on June 6, 1917. He was buried at Ekalaka, Mont.
    Luther as he was known by his many friends here was an honest, upright, young man and was highly respected by all who knew him. The wife and other relatives have the sympathy of all in their hour of grief.
