    Robert Edgar Moody, 73, husband of Diana Lou Buck Moody, passed Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He was born June 22, 1943 in Lexington, KY to the late George Hagedorn and Virginia Huston Moody. Robert had worked for the Fayette County Government. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family, was a Vietnam Army Veteran, enjoyed playing bridge and watching old movies.

    Nicholasville-George Hagedorn Moody, 83, widower of Virginia Moody, formerly of Melrose Avenue, died August 1, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He was the former long time superintendent of Lone Oak Country Club, a graduate of Wilmore High School-Class of '42 and a veteran of WW II. Mr. Moody was a former coach and teacher for the Jessamine Co. school system. He was a native of Jessamine Co., son of the late Harvey Edgar and Blanche Hagedorn Moody. Services will be 1:30pm Monday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Snyder officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Sunday. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

    Virginia Frances Huston Moody, 77, wife of George Moody of Melrose Avenue, Nicholasville, died October 22, 2002 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Nicholasville United Methodist Church and was a former employee of the Lexington Credit Bureau. She was the daughter of the late Robert Dallas and Ruth Winn Huston. Addition survivors are two children, Robert Edgar (Diana L.) Moody of Lexington and Donna Moody (Roger) Tremaine of Nicholasville; five grandchildren, Amy Tremaine Mullins, Deborah Hoosier, Sherrie Spader, Hillary Farris, Trevor Tremaine; eight great great-grandchildren; a brother, James Huston of Louisville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Winn McWilliams. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Ryan. Burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Bearers will be Lee Mullins, Jason Farris, Trevor and Roger Tremaine, Donnie McWilliams, Tommy Huston, Clark Spader and Stan Foster. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Ray E. Miller American Legion Post, the 40 & 9 and the VFW. He was a member of the Christian Church.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carl Bradshaw, Lexington, and Mrs. R.L. Sweeny, Lake Jackson, Texas; four sons, the Rev. W.C. Moody, Owingsville; Hugh M. and George Moody, Wilmore and L.B. Besides her husband, Edgar Moody, mail carrier here, she is survived by two daughters, Misses Thelma and Stella Moody; five sons, Harvey, George, Hugh, Bill and L.B. Moody; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Hagerdorn; and two brothers, L.D. Hagerdorn, Jr., and James Hagerdorn.
    Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church here Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.

    Nicholasville, Ky., March 3, - George W. Moody, 70, died at his home in the Bethel neighborhood this afternoon following a short illness.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Moody; two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Joe Blankenship, Mrs. John Davis, Edgar, john and Mike Moody, all of Jessamine county; two sisters, Mrs. S.E. Harris and Mrs. Blanch Kissick.
    Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. R.L. Badgett. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harrison Duncan, W.W. Overstreet, Ollie Corman, E. and L.S. Cassity and L.B. Hagerdorn.
