Notes - Charles W Bender, 64, of Whiting, Kansas, died yesterday at the Holton hospital, Holton, Kansas. He was born in Afton, Oklahoma, and lived in Whiting fifty-seven years. Mr Bender was a retired road worker for the Jackson County Kansas highway department. He was a member of the Methodist church here. He leaves his wife, Mrs Marie Bender of the home; a daughter, Miss Caroline Maxine Bender of the home; a son, Charles W Bender, Jr, Merriam; a sister, Mrs Gladys DeBusk, Stroud, Oklahoma, and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday at the Mercer Chapel, Holton; burial in Spring Hill cemetery, Whiting.
