Notes - Samuel Moody
Nicholasville, Ky., Nov. 3. – The funeral services of Samuel D. Moody, 28 years old, who died at his home in the Bethel neighborhood, of typhoid fever, were held at the residence this afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. W.J. Duncan of Wilmore, and the body was buried in Maple Grove cemetery. Mr. Moody was a farmer and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucy Hagerdon Moody, four children, May, Ruth, Edith and Raymond Moody; three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Joe Blankenship, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Fred Corman; Jackson, Edgar and Mike Moody, also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Moody, all of Jessamine county.

Samuel and Lucy both died typhoid fever within two and half months of each other leaving 4 children under the age of eight.
In the 1930 census their three daughters, Lola May (age 11), Ruth (age 9) and Edith (age 8), are wards living in the Knights of Pythias Home in Fayette County, Kentucky.
In the 1930 census their son, Raymond, age 6, is in the household of his maternal grandparents, Lambert and Mattie Hagedorn in Lee, Jessamine County, Kentucky.
