Notes - Mrs. Lucy Hagerdon Moody
Nicholasville, Ky., Jan. 15, - Mrs. Lucy Hagerdon Moody, 25 years old, widow of Samuel D. Moody, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Hagerdon, on the Bethel pike, of typhoid fever. She is survived by four small children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hagerdon, a sister, Mrs. Edgar Moody, and two brothers, Lambert Hagerdon, Jr., and James Hagerdon, of Jessamine county. The funeral services will be held at the Baptist church in Wilmore Saturday morning at 10:30 o’clock and the body will be buried in the Nicholasville cemetery.

Samuel and Lucy both died typhoid fever within two and half months of each other leaving 4 children under the age of eight.
In the 1930 census their three daughters, Lola May (age 11), Ruth (age 9) and Edith (age 8), are wards living in the Knights of Pythias Home in Fayette County, Kentucky.
In the 1930 census their son, Raymond, age 6, is in the household of his maternal grandparents, Lambert and Mattie Hagedorn in Lee, Jessamine County, Kentucky.
