Mrs. Lorena Hedges Thompson, 62, of 326 East Maxwell Street, wife of James F. Thompson, died at 3;25 p.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Mason County, a daughter of the late Martin Luther and Bessie Cook Hedges. She was a member of the Mays Lick Christian Church and had lived in Lexington since 1921.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, James F. Thompson Jr., Lexington ; a sister, Mrs. Perry M. Minor, Nicholasvile; a brother, Stanley Hedges, Dayton, Ohio, and three grandchildren, Linda Carol Thompson, Norene Thompson and James F. Thompson III, Lexington.
The body was taken to the W.R. Milward Mortuary – Broadway.
Services will be conducted there at 3 p.m. Monday by the Rev. W.C. Burris. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday.
