Notes - Services Held For Alderson Resident
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at two o’clock at the Alderson Presbyterian church for Mrs. Elsie Early Hedges, 62, of Alderson who died Saturday night in the Hinton Hospital of a brain hemorrhage. She had been ill one week.
The Rev. W.W. Peters had charge of the service and burial was made in the Alderson cemetery under the direction of the Alderson Funeral Home.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Early, Mrs. Hedges was born at Sinks Grove.
Survivors include her husband, J.K. Hedges; one daughter; one son and five sisters.

Elsie's parent's names confirmed in her brother Ira B. Early's obituary in The Leader, Hinton, West Virginia, Thursday, 17 August 1944, page 1 which includes the following passages:
"Mr. Early was a son of the late A.J. Early and Mrs. Anna Jackson Early of Sinks Grove" ... "Surviving Mr. Early are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Smith Early; one brother, A.E. Early, of Sinks Grove, and seven sisters, Miss Bernice and Miss Zella, of SInks Grove, Mrs. E.W. Williams, of Stotesbury, Miss Beulah, of Huntington; Mrs. C.B. Gray, of Sinks Grove, Mrs. B.C.
