He was married four times. He died on August 29, 1963, in Canton, Ohio, at the age of 74, and was buried there in West Lawn Cemetery.

Lawrence F. (Larry) Ackerman, 71, of 1513 Park ave SW, Canton, died Thursday morning in Aultman hospital, Canton, following an illness of one year.
Mr. Ackerman was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and had lived in Canton for 55 years. He retired three years ago as an electrician at the Timken Roller Bearing Co.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Mary Ackerman; two step-sons, Thomas and James Wise, both of Canton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ann Lash of Minerva; three brothers, James Ackerman of Massillon and John and Dan Ackerman, both of Canton; four sisters, Mrs. William Stark of Willowdale Lake and Mrs. Bessie Reeves, Mrs. Mildred Krippen and Mrs. Earl Sarchet, all of Canton; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Welch funeral home in Canton. Interment will be made in West Lawn cemetery in Canton.
Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon until 4 and tonight from 7-9 p.m.
