    • Brother of Local Resident Succumbs
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lamar Smith Funeral Home in Dallas, Tex., for Daniel Cassity, 82, brother of Dr. G.H. Cassity of Shreveport.
      Mr. Cassity, a former resident of Shreveport, died in Parkland Hospital in Dallas Saturday. He had resided in Dallas 30 years. Burial will be in Laurel Land Cemetery.
      Mr. Cassity, a native of Purdin, Mo., had resided with a niece, Mrs. Mary Jones Moore. He is also survived by a Shreveport niece, Mrs. Loren W. Myers.
