Notes - Richard Owen Carmack
Richard Owen Carmack, son of Wm. and Mary Ellen Carmack, was born in Sullivan County, Mo., on March 1, 1881, and departed this life at the family home six miles west of Fayette, Mo., on March 28, 1941, at the age of 60 years and 28 days.
He was united in marriage to Nora Cassidy in January, 1913. To this union were born 2 sons, Edgar and Dillard. His wife preceded him in death Dec. 31, 1918. He was again married to Anna Faulkner, Aug. 9, 1925. To this union was born 1 son, Bernie.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and three sons of the home; 4 sisters, Mrs. Nova Carter of Elmer, Mo.; Mrs. Sally Forbes of St. Catherine, Mo.; Mrs. Nellie Linhart and Mrs. Cleo Carter of Glasgow, Mo.; 4 brothers, Mell, of Browning, Mo.; Lon and Jake of St. Catherine, Mo.; and Charlie of Linneus; 1 uncle, Pete Carmack; 2 aunts, Mary Turner and Emma Page.
Forty-two nieces and nephews, sixty-eight grand nieces and nephew, also a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Mr. P.H. Chaffee, singing by the Owasco choir. Interment in the Baker cemetery near the birthplace of the deceased.
