Notes - Carrie GEIESENHAFF was born in Illinois May 16, 1866, and departed this life at Shattuck, Oklahoma, June 21, 1931.
At the age of ten she moved with her parents to Mercer County, Missouri and there grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to N. R. TIPTON on August 13, 1895, at Purdin, Missouri. To this union eight children were born. The husband and four children have preceded her in death. Those living are Merlin of Iowa; David of Colorado; and Helen and Dillie of Canadian.
On December 26, 1918, she was married to A. R. CADE at Ochiltree, Texas, and they have since made their home on a farm in the Huntoon community. Besides the husband and children there are five step-children, Esther, Rob, Lillie, Anna and Frank; four sisters; one brother and a host other relatives and friends, who mourn the departure of this loved one.
The funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Perryton at 2:30 o’clock, Tuesday afternoon with Rev. W. C. Bryan in charge. Interment was made in Ochiltree cemetery.
