      Services are Tuesday for Carl Russell, a 47-year resident of the Rancho Palos Verdes area.
      Born March 9, 1921, in Big Sandy, Mont., he died Sept. 24, 1997.
      Mr. Russell was a retired foreman for Arco.
      He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a son, Norman of Moreno Valley; a brother, Ray of Bakersfield; a sister, Josephine Barnes of Stanton; and four grandchildren. He had two stepsons: Roger and James Johnson, both of Palm Springs.
      Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes.
      Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, with burial at Green hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
