    • Frank Pulliam
      Benjamin Franklin Pulliam, son of William and Louisa Pulliam was born October 16, 1870 in Linn County Missouri and passed away at his home in Purdin August 17, 1947 at the age of 76 years 10 months and one day.
      He was united in marriage to Effie Cassity April 6, 1905. To this union three children were born, Merle Pulliam of Phoenix, Ariz.; Rosetta Wohler, Purdin, Mo; and Wallace Pulliam of Phoenix, Ariz. He was later married to Genevieve Cassity. Besides the wife and three children he leaves four grand-children, Jimmie and Virginia Wohler of Purdin and Jimmie and Richard Dean Pulliam of Phoenix; two brothers, J.W. Pulliam of Phoenix; Dave of Brookfield, 18 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
      Frank lived his entire life in and near Purdin.
      Services were held at his home in Purdin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 1947, conducted by Rev. E.M. Himes of Unionville. The song service was by W.W. Western, Van Vencill, Mrs. Orlando Johnson and Mrs. Orville Cokerham. The bearers, all nephews, were Harold, Donald, Gail and Ray Pulliam, Robert Ross and Chas. Gooch. Burial was in the Purdin cemetery, under the direction of Schonese.
