    • Roy Kenneth "Shag" Martin, resident of Williamstown, was born in Crittenden on Aug. 1, 1916 and passed away at the St. Elizabeth, Grant County in Williamstown, on April 11, 2013 at the age of 96. On Sept. 6, 1944, Shag was united in marriage with Stella Marie McClanahan. From this union two sons were born: Roy C. Martin of Williamstown and Bill Martin of Edgewood. He is also survived by grandchildren: Nicole Trimpe and Nathan Martin. A veteran of the United States Army during World War II, Kenneth was a farmer and a former employee of Northern Kentucky Production Credit Association. He was a Deacon of the Dry Ridge Christian Church, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Robert P. McLachlin American Legion Post in Williamstown. Funeral services will be 11:AM, Mon., April 15 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial are suggested to the Dry Ridge Christian Church Building Fund, 13 School Rd., Dry Ridge, KY 41035 or the St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41018.
