Mildred McClanahan Whaley
Mildred McClanahan Whaley, 92, of Williamstown, died Tuesday at her home.
She was a clerk with Caldwell's Grocery and a former employee of Milt's Flowers, Williamstown, and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Williamstown. She was a Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school and nursery worker at the church. Her husband, Harold T. Whaley, died in 2003. A daughter, Anna Lou Roland, died in 2006.
Survivors include a son, Gail "G.T." Whaley of Falmouth; brothers, Donald McClanahan of Blanchester, Ohio, and Ronald McClanahan of Cincinnati; a sister, Jewell Hamon of Florence; four grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Mount Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund, in care of Elaine Shafer, Treasurer, 3065 Lemon-Northcutt Road, Dry Ridge, Ky. 41035.
