- Ethel F. Day, 64, dies in Indianapolis
Ethel F. Day, 64, Camby, died Tuesday at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The daughter of David and Lavonia Lydle, she was born in Indianapolis on Nov. 19, 1921.
She married Roy Day in November 1939, and he died Dec. 30, 1966.
Survivors are five sons, David F., Camby, Albert L. and Alfred F., Mooresville, John R. and Charles V., Houston, Texas; one stepson, Roy G., Gosport; four daughters, Lorene Dye, Indianapolis, Sally E. Wiley, Camby, Patricia Smith, Jacksonville, Fla., and Edna E. Day, Frankfort; two stepdaughters, Juanita Hochhaver, Indianapolis, and Dorothy Day, Florida; one brother, David Lydle, Spencer; one sister, Ruby Snyder, Florida; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Camby resident since 1951, Mrs. Day was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Her funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at the Carlisle and Sons Funeral Chapel in Mooresville, and burial will follow at West Newton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 2-9 p.m. Thursday.
