Atchison, Kan. - Lydia M. Gilkison, 82, died Wednesday at a hospital in Atchison. She had been in failing health the past three years.
She was a native of Cummings, Kan., and attended the Atchison County schools. She was a lifelong resident of the Atchison area.
She was a 25-year member of the United Methodist Church and the Martha Washington Chapter of the Order of the Easter Star in Atchison.
In 1921, she married William I. Gilkison in St. Joseph. Her husband preceded her in death in 1976.
