Notes - VERSAILLES - Catherine Marie Adams, 87, widow of Joseph M. Adams, died April 11, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. A native of Woodford County, she was born April 15, 1922 to the late Ambrose and Odell Littrell Gilkison. Mrs. Adams was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in World War II. She was a long time Executive Secretary at Texas Instruments and was a member of Versailles Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams is survived by, her daughters, Judy Adams, VA, and Joan (Tim) Drury, Hopkinsville; her sons, Jeff (Judy) Adams, Versailles, Jeremy (Beth) Adams, Versailles; her sister, Clarice "Duck" Tincher, Lexington; and her brother, Leonard (Jane) Gilkison, Carlisle; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph M. Adams, Jr. A special thanks to the Lincoln Unit at Thompson Hood Veterans Center. Funeral services will be Wed at 12:30pm at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Reverend John Brandon officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Serving as Casketbearers will be Jeffrey Adams, II, Julye Adams, Will Hagan, Justin Adams, Tim Drury, Willie Wilson, Jeff and Jeremy Adams. Honorary Casketbearers will be her Friendship Sunday School Class, Amy Porch, Jennifer Rhodes, Jana Lancaster, Jessica Adams, Joseph M. Adams, III. Visitation will be Tue from 5-8pm.
