Notes - Ruth Ellen Yocum, 54, died June 4, 2020 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. Born May 13, 1966 in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Hedges, Jr. and Mary Miller Craig Hedges. Ms. Yocum was a graduate of Henry Clay High School and was employed in dietary with Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Survivors include a son, Travis Yocum; fiancé, Gary Cannella; step-grandchildren, Carly, Ashley, Tara, Michael, Chloe, and Brakel Coots; sister, Becky (John) Balthrop; brother, Craig Howard; niece, Katelynn Edwards Arch; and other numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Tues., June 9 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Entombment will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Mon. and 11:30 am Tues. until the service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kidney Foundation of Central Kentucky, 1517 Nicholasville Road, Suite 203, Lexington, KY 40503 or Bluegrass Hospice Care, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
