    • Dean O'Connell, 85, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at his home.

      He was born April 4, 1927 in Catlin Township, the son of Ernest and Alma Hedges O'Connell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, LaMoyne. He married Betty Linton on April 1, 1951 in Danville. She survives.

      He is also survived by a daughter, Kelly (Timothy) Baechle; one son, Jason (Michelle) O'Connell; two grandchildren, Kailin Baechle and Brandon O'Connell and one sister-in-law, Martha O'Connell.

      He was a member of Company D Fifth Infantry Illinois Reserve Militia.
