      Wills Point – Graveside services for Mrs. Elsie Violet Metcalf, 73, Wills Point, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point with the Rev. Dr. Gene Lindsey officiating under the direction of LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
      Mrs. Metcalf died Sunday in a Wills Point nursing home after a lengthy illness.
      She was born May 28, 1918, in Fort Hayes to John Allowishous and Lu Vennie Todd Sullivan. She service in the US Army during World War II and later worked as a waitress at Little Bit O Sweden Restaurant and Jay’s Marine Grill in Dallas. She had lived in Rolling Oaks addition near Lake Tawakoni for 15 years and had been a resident of Locust Grove Nursing Home for several years. Her husband, Robert Metcalf, preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1978.
      Survivors include a sister, Jeraldine Stamps, Crestview, Fla.
      Family visitation will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
